I was born in Cheshire but moved to Kent after university (Liverpool, BA Geography and Economics and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education). I taught for five years (James Allen’s Girls’ School, Dulwich and Elmfield Upper, Bromley) before leaving teaching and joining the commercial world of word-processing (as it was then) and computing.Since 1983 I have run my own business (computer training, mailing house, marketing database consultancy) from which I am now (almost) retired. I also write and publish novels. Although I moved to Worth comparatively recently (June 2017) I know the area well, having lived in Hammill until 2007 when my husband and I had to move away for family reasons. I am very pleased to be back in Kent and to have found such a wonderful community in Worth. As a child I benefitted enormously from having great teachers who delivered great teaching; as a school Governor I hope to contribute actively to ensure every young person will be able to look back at their time at Worth Primary School and say the same.
