My name is Christine Tonks and I have been a Parent Governor since September 2019. Worth village is a central point in our life, my partner’s family farm began over 100 years ago in the village and still remains a successful farm today. My daughter joined the reception class this year and her father’s side of the family have been attending the school since opening. My son attends Busy Bees nursery in Worth and we hope he will also join the school in 2021.
Before having children, I worked as a Regional Manager for a large retail chain. Since maternity leave, I decided to have a change of pace in my career and now spend my time sitting on the board for three local charities, managing The Red Box Project, the Co-Chair of Worth Primary PTA and working with Co-op to support their national plans to improve their community engagement and charity support, with a scheme called Co-operate 2022.
I look forward to working with the Governing board and staff at Worth Primary School to ensure the very best education is given to every child.
