Curriculum Vision

Our curriculum vision is to create independent, higher order thinkers with high aspirations. As they progress through the school the children will develop their knowledge and their skills in all subjects through a broad and balanced curriculum that focuses on the local environment and widens their understanding of the world.

Government Catch-up funding is enabling us this year, 2021-22, to offer a tutoring programme by which we are supporting children in their recovery from the loss of teaching caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Tutoring is proven to have the biggest impact on recovery.
This is by invitation and the tutoring sessions are before or after school.

Year Groups

From the moment our Reception children join Worth Primary School they are welcomed into our warm, caring community. The Early Years Curriculum allows them to develop the characteristics of effective learning as well as work towards the Early Learning Goals. Our children have the unique privilege of a small Reception class with a dedicated Early Years Teacher determined to give each and every pupil a personalised start to their learning journey. Our older pupils play a vital part in developing a nurturing environment, working together with our younger pupils in all aspects of school life ensuring everyone recognises their part in the whole school community. In September 2021 the updated statutory framework for EYFS was introduced. Use this link to read the details: Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage (
