Although Worth Primary School has very limited space on site outdoor learning is a priority to us in supporting children’s wellbeing. Our allotment and our access to the village cricket field enable us to provide outdoor learning.
Outdoor learning is an inspirational process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment. Every class has dedicated time at the allotment and on the field.
Visits to local farms (thanks to Felderland and Delph Farms) also serve to stimulate interest in, and knowledge of, our local environment in support of our curriculum vision.
We follow the Forest School ethos to create a safe and fun environment where children are free to explore their ideas.
Assistance with the allotment as we maintain a safe and interesting environment for the children (as well as producing flowers, fruit and vegetables) is always appreciated. Please contact the school office if you would like to help. Just like these friends of the school did in September 2021.
