Tutoring and Catch-Up Plan

The Tutoring and catch-up premium, Recovery Pupil premium, is funded on a per pupil basis. This will be based on the previous years census meaning we are predicting Worth Primary School School will be in receipt of £2000 in total, this is a set amount as a small school and £742.50 50% Tutoring Funding (The school then matches this £1147.5). The spending of this money will be down to schools to allocate as they see best.

As the catch-up premium has been designed to mitigate the effects of the unique disruption caused by coronavirus (COVID-19). T

o support schools to make the best use of this funding, the Education Endowment Foundation has published a support guide for schools with evidence-based approaches to catch up for all students.

Worth Primary School has used this support document as the foundation to the School Development/Recovery Plan.

Our Tutoring and Recovery Pupil Premium plan is within our Pupil Premium report.

Last year 2022-2023

  • Our funding supported Mrs Cullen, teacher/SENDCo, to work with our pupils with in class catch up, skilled 1:1 input and tutoring support.
  • Our funding has allowed us to purchase Mirodo, an online learning program to support closing gaps in learning for our KS2 pupils. This is used in small groups and as part of an after school group.

This year 2023-2024

  • Our funding will support 1:1 or group school led tutoring.
  • Our funding will allow us to continue to use Mirodo, an online learning program to support closing gaps in learning for our KS2 pupils. This is used in small groups and as part of an after school group.
