Science

Our aim for science at Worth Primary School is to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum to create independent, higher order thinkers with high aspirations.  We want to deliver a curriculum which enables them to confidently explore and discover what is around them, so that they have a deeper understanding of the world we live in.

We want children to remember their science lessons, enjoy the science experiences that they are presented with and retain the scientific knowledge that they are taught.

By the time children leave Worth, they should be equipped with the scientific knowledge outlined in the National Curriculum in biology, chemistry and physics, have a deep understanding of what it means to work scientifically and be able to communicate their findings across a range of different methods.

We want children to love science! We want to inspire children to grow up to work in the different fields of science: scientists, engineers, astronauts and more!
